Shelly Stevens

I was born during the Columbus Day storm in Portland, Oregon, 1962. With winds topping at 170 mph, I arrived two weeks late, and posterior. That's me, a little late, and turned around, resulting in a pretty good story about how I'd arrived.

My perspective has always been askew because of the way things started out. My work is mostly abstract, which is a direct influence of my vivid dreams, and wild imagination.

My passions have always been for the underdog. For those who came out tangled, and see life through bits of broken glass. For the fighters who never give up.

My work is layered and filled with stories.
